Tyler is the moderator of a discussion groups on this subject as well an owner of his own business to produce Quadtone Black and White prints. Exposure36 Photography: I first met Jim Altengarten while taking some classes that he taught at the University of Washington and have come to rely on him over the last few years. Jim specializes in photographic education. His workshops and encounters are taught at some of the prime locations in the western US and Canada. He teaches photography classes that cover generally every academic phase of photography. He has home study CD courses, and has private learning sessions.

Sunny Walter: Sunny Walter is a professional photographer based out of the Seattle area and has some very good images of Nature in Washington State and other areas of the Pacific Coast area of the U.S. and Canada. If you are looking for a good guide for photograph wildlife, bird or wild flowers, check out her "Nature Resources Guide" in her web site. This is a very large set of references that is a must for any photographer who wants to work in the outdoors. Gary Luhm: Gary Luhm left his engineering job in 1998 to pursue outdoor and nature photography full-time. His unique imagery stems from a relentless exploration of the water planet by sea kayak, which is his taxi, his toolbox and sometimes even his tripod. I only met Gary once when I purchased a used lens from him. He launched me into a whole new realm of photography when I updated my camera gear as a result of his used lens.
